$300K in Wages paid to trainees! 🙌🏻
We are proud to announce that we have achieved a significant milestone in August. Since 2018, we have paid our trainees over $300,000 in award wages through our program. Providing paid employment is critical for young people to break the cycle of homelessness. Your support has been instrumental in enabling us to offer this opportunity. We are grateful for your continued support. ❤️
Pre-Employment Program
In August, we launched our pre-employment program for incoming trainees. This program sets trainees up with foundational knowledge and skills before beginning the Pathways For Change program. Participants learned about: Your Rights at Work, Healthy Living, and Managing Money, all lessons that are crucial, especially if it’s your first work experience. Many of our trainees don’t receive these foundations from parental figures, so we are honoured to provide this structured guidance.

Homelessness Week
During Homelessness Week, we held events at our cafe venues to raise awareness about youth homelessness. Alongside our partners, Alternative Dairy and Five Senses, we gave free coffee and shared information about our mission and programs.
Our staff had the opportunity to serve and chat with regular customers, as well as welcoming new people to the For Change Co. family.
Supporting YES23
For Change Co. fully supports a Yes vote in the upcoming referendum on the establishment of a First Nations Voice to Parliament and constitutional change.
As a social enterprise dedicated to enabling young people to take control of their lives and create their own paths out of the homelessness cycle, we are ardent believers that ALL people should have a say in the decision-making processes that directly affect them.
We graciously accept the offer to walk with Indigenous Australians in pursuit of a better and more equitable future.
