Located in the brand new Bellfield Community Hub, For Change Bellfield is a cafe designed for the local community both to provide a warm and inviting meeting spot, as well as to provide training and employment opportunities to local young people who are at-risk of homelessness.
This project is a collaboration with Banyule City Council who have provided extensive support to make this new cafe possible.
This cafe is set to open in August 2022 and will host trainees from late 2022.
For Change, Bellfield will host trainees at all three modules of our training program forming our most place-based program to date.
As a second and third step in the Trainee Trail, For change, Middle Park will allow our trainees to improve on their skills learnt at Coffee For Change. Developing their barista, food prep and customer service skills. Working in a warm and sociable environment, trainees will also build their confidence and sense of community.
