After 10 years of life-changing impact, For Change Co. cafes are winding up operations this week. We have made this very difficult decision due to ongoing financial pressures in the hospitality industry and a changed funding landscape that means our impact is no longer sustainable.

While we are heartbroken this chapter is closing, we are proud that over the last five years we have:

    • Empowered 152 young people with the skills and confidence to take their next steps into employment and independent housing
    • Delivered 22,555 hours of employment and training
    • Provided $549,471.08 in award wages – our commitment to pay award wages to young people for every hour they spend with us.

While our cafes are winding up our legacy will continue through the impact we have created and through our first initative – Melbourne’s only certified social enterprise food truck, Crepes For Change.

To our funders, venue and supplier partners, and community of supporters, we would like to extend our most heartfelt thanks for your support over the last 10 years.

To the volunteers who gave their time so generously, thank you so much for your contribution.

To the incredible staff both present and past, thank you for all you have given and created through your work.

Finally to the young people For Change Co. has supported, we are so proud of all you have achieved in our program and beyond.

    Thank you.
